Clos de Bel Abord - Château Thébaud

After a cold and wet spring that explains this late harvest and a hot dry summer, the grapes have been harvested late September and early October under a mild weather with some short rain events.

The good work in the vineyard throughout the year (including short prunning, grass cover, cares according to our Terra Vitis certification, tilling on some Clos, leaf out thining / green harvest on the Crus) allowed us to get the best ripeness.Thank to our harvest organization and technical device, as well as experienced team , we’ve been able to harvest in a record time of nine days, to ensure the optimal quality of the harvest.

In the end, the quality of the 2013 vintage looks very high with a very good degree/acidity  balance, but yields in the low average. Wine making is now on the way before ageing on the lees and presentation of the vintage on the beginning of year 2014.
